Revenue management firm uses big data to attract $10 million investment
Duetto Research is a startup revenue management provider to the hospitality industry that calls itself a big data-driven specialist. Its approach has helped it secure $10 million in funding from Battery Ventures and Altimeter Capital.
The company also attracted investment from previous backers Thayer Ventures, Trinity Ventures and Marc Benioff, the founder and CEO of Salesforce.com. It raised $2.1 million in a funding round that included Benchmark Capital.
Duetto hopes its operational intelligence tools will displace on-premise hotel revenue management systems that hotels have used in the past.
CEO Patrick Bosworth said the company is focusing on demand optimization using big data, which allows it to deliver better insights quickly to customers--improving pricing optimization, forecasting and even hotel operations.
The Duetto Edge revenue management solution has already been installed at 17 Sonesta ES Suite hotels across 14 states. The product was launched in October.
