CRGT acquires Guident Technologies

CRGT Inc., which provides IT services and emerging technology solutions for the United States government, has acquired Guident Technologies this week. Guident provides data analytics strategy and planning services.

CRGT has been expanding into analytics over the past few years.

Ramzi Musallam, managing partner at Veritas Capital, a CRGT investor, said this is the third acquisition by CRGT in just over two years. "Both organically and through acquisition, CRGT has expanded its expertise to match the mission-critical growth areas that are transforming the landscape of Federal IT," he said.

Guident specifically provides systems engineering and enterprise application integration, as well as resource planning and content intelligence services.

Its customers include a number of federal agencies including the Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Transportation, and the Securities and Exchange Commission. It works with the Patent and Trademark Office as well. CRGT also operates an information-sharing platform inside the Department of Defense.

Tom Ferrando, CEO of CRGT, said the acquisition will help his company provide solutions "to manage both structured and unstructured data challenges," which is the top ranked technology priority within government agencies for 2013, he added.
